Chris Jericho will be temporarily leaving the WWE scene as he is set to join his band "Fozzy" on tour. He is set to face Kevin Owens for the United States title at WWE Payback on April 30.

With Chris Jericho taking some time off, the results of the weekend pay-per-view may have just been spilled. Y2J will obviously lose this match so the only thing remaining is how Owens will get the win. Will it be a clean match or see someone get involved?

When will Chris Jericho return to WWE?

With his departure imminent for May 1, WWE fans are now wondering when Chris Jericho will return to the WWE ring. The earliest that could happen is by June once his band's tour is over according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Jericho's departure means one less showman for Raw general manager Kurt Angle. So far, the attention has been centered on Braun Strowman and his rampage. The new faces have been holding fort so new twists could be made on the Raw episode following WWE Payback this Sunday, April 30.

Breadcrumbs on WWE Raw

With Chris Jericho still appearing on the May 1 edition of WWE Raw, there could be more surprises in store. He could get attacked by someone while addressing the fans, raising a possible injury storyline that will back his time off.

It could be Strowman or some new rising star who will obviously grab the Y2J limelight. Wrestling Rumors suggests that Elias Samson could be taking over though that remains to be seen.

Looking back to the April 24 episode of WWE Raw, Jericho did have a segment involving Dean Ambrose and The Miz. It went on to be a match, a handicap match that turned into a no contest when things got out of hand.

Bray Wyatt was supposed to partner with The Miz but the "Reaper of Souls" came out a bit late. Wyatt did make up for it and that was where mayhem started.

Bray Wyatt sending off Jericho?

With Jericho leaving, Bray Wyatt could be the perfect guy to send off Y2J. But that would be part of a bigger script, referring to the former champion’s next adversary.

Wyatt is scheduled to face Randy Orton as well at WWE Payback. The odds of Wyatt bringing the WWE SmackDown heavyweight title on Raw are low. So like the Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho match, the Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt card could see some outside involvement for both WWE stars too.
