WWE star Roman Reigns will need a new dance partner moving forward, with Braun Strowman expected to miss time due to an elbow injury. The "Monster Among Men" will be undergoing a minor procedure, which will keep Strowman out for six to eight weeks.

Reigns and Strowman have been going at it for quite some time now, showing perhaps nothing more than brute strength to keep WWE fans entertained. Most saw that overturned ambulance and the physicality at WWE Payback, a storyline that would originally last until two WWE pay-per-views - Extreme Rules and Great Balls of Fire.

Recall that in a previous post, Strowman was supposed to use a torn rotator cuff injury. But things got a bit chippy when Strowman came out to face Kalisto, something that went out of hand when Reigns interrupted and hit the big guy with a steel chair on the steps, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported.

Reigns vs. "The Miz" fast-tracked

With the Braun Strowman injury, the WWE is left with no choice but to fast-forward a bit on its plans for Reigns. The plan was to create a feud between the "Big Dog" and "The Miz," something scheduled to happen at WWE Extreme Rules.

Reigns was originally planned to lose to Strowman in an ambulance match, after which the former’s attention would be diverted to the "A-Lister" according to Wrestling Inc. That shift would have likely happened at the Raw episode following Extreme Rules. Now, the tables have been turned meaning Reigns will likely aim for the Intercontinental championship.

From the looks of it, "The Miz" will snag the title from Dean Ambrose at some point moving forward. It could happen this Monday (May 15) or at the pay-per-view. For Strowman, the "Monster Among Men" would be given the push against Brock Lesnar. It remains to be seen if this will still stand once Strowman is cleared to return.

Where will Dean Ambrose end up?

With Roman Reigns feuding with "The Miz," it begs to ask what lies ahead for Dean Ambrose. The "Lunatic Fringe" could end up feasting on other stars such as Finn Balor, Seth Rollins or maybe even Samoa Joe. It all depends on which WWE star is not involved in any major storyline.

For Reigns, expect the WWE Universe to go ballistic once again if he ends up winning the Intercontinental title. It is a knee-jerk reaction from the fans though he may eventually lose it to someone along the way. Wrestlemania 34 is far off, but the word out is that it will be a Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar main event – yet another match that WWE fans will pick on.
