Apple's 25th Worldwide Development Conference (WWDC) unveiled OS 10 Yosemite, iCloud Drive, iOS 8, HealthKit, CloudKit, and HomeKit, and Swift Programming Language during Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook's keynote address.

The keynote address delivered on June 2, 2014 10:00 AM PDT (3:00 AM Sydney local time) from Moscone West Convention Center, San Francisco, California was streamed live from Apple's company website.

Apple Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi joined Tim Cook in presenting OS 10 Yosemite. Just like the predictions of many tech enthusiasts online, Apple OS X Yosemite has a major aesthetic redesign with the flat look of its user interface making it look like iOS. The new versions of Notifications, Calendar, Messages, etc. look similar to the iPhones. The redesign makes users to easily switch from Mac to iPhone and vice versa.

Apple also revealed iCloud Drive which allows users to store files and documents on the online storage just like DropBox. Apple iCloud Drive can be accessed on iOS, Windows, and any Mac devices. The iCloud Drive costs $0.99 monthly for the 20 GB storage and $3.99 monthly for the 200 GB storage.

In addition, Apple also presented AirDrop which seamlessly allows users to compose emails from their iPhone then edit and send the same email from Mac or vice versa.

For iOS 8, Apple revealed that several standout features which includes interactive Notifications, predictive keyboard, and upgraded Group Messaging.

The company also unveiled the new HealthKit and HealthApp which store all of the user's health data like blood pressure monitoring in one location.

For HomeKit, Apple announced that the home automation platform will support lights, thermostat, cameras, and others which will allow users to handle "scene management". The company asserted that HomeKit allows users to lock doors, shut of lights, and other capabilities so they can "get ready for bed."

Among other announcements, Apple's unveiling off Swift Programming Language got the most applause from technology developers. According to the company, Swift code is faster than Objective C and works alongside with Objective C and C code in same application. Apple has already provided the programming guide for Swift on iTunes.

The keynote address does not mention any hardware like iWatch, iPhone 6, iMac, Apple TV, and iTV.
