Woman receives death threats after taking selfie with Harry Styles

Amy Whelan posted a selfie she took with Harry Styles on social media and was overwhelmed by the reaction she got from his fans. The 20-year-old London-based hairdresser revealed she received a death threat from a fan after she shared the photo on Instagram.

Whelan, from Borehamwood, Herts, received different comments from fans of the One Direction singer after she posted their selfie on her Instagram accounts. However, one comment stood out and terrified her. According to The Sun, one fan had written, “If you don’t tell me where Harry Styles is I will kill you.”

The comment has since been deleted. However, a copy of her selfie with Styles taken from her private Instagram account has already circulated online.

Whelan reportedly never thought that the photo would “cause such uproar” since she only intended for her friends to see it. She admitted that she had no idea how it got leaked online.

Her selfie with Styles reportedly received different comments from his fans. Some expressed their jealousy while others asked her odd questions about the singer, such as how he smells like.

The 20-year-old, who is said to be the spitting image of Styles' current girlfriend Kendall Jenner, also recounted how she got a selfie with the singer. She said it happened while she was at work; she heard Styles was dropping by at the Waitrose supermarket. Her client, who is a big One Direction fan, leapt up out of her chair to see the singer. Whelan admitted that although she is not a One Direction fan, she followed her client for curiosity’s sake.

“I was amazed to see Harry Styles in the supermarket picking up groceries - he was the last person I’d think of bumping into. But when my friend asked if we could have a selfie with him he just moved in closer to me and I took a snap. It was all over really fast,” Whelan revealed, according to The Sun’s report.

Asked about her encounter with the pop sensation, Whelan said she thought nothing of it afterward when she went back to work. However, she said that Styles seemed nice and a total gentleman.
