The Windows 10 Mobile OTA update is expected to be released by the end of this month. The initial set of Lumia smartphones that will be receiving the upgrade have been revealed.

Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL flagships and the low-priced Lumia 550 and Lumia 650 smartphones are the only devices that come preloaded with the Windows 10 Mobile OS. Rest of the Lumia devices are still running on the older Windows Phone 8.1 OS.

Users who have registered with the Windows Insider program are currently running the preview editions of Windows 10 Mobile. However, Microsoft is expected to release the Windows 10 Mobile OTA update for all the eligible Lumia devices starting from Feb. 29.

In order to receive the upgrade, supported Lumia smartphones are required to be running on 8.10.14219.341 build of Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Denim software. Not all the Lumia devices will be receiving the upgrade at the same time. Mobi Picker has reported on the initial set of Lumia phones that will get the upgrade.

TheLumia 430, Lumia 435, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, 1 GB RAM model of Lumia 634, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830 and Lumia 930 constitute the eleven Lumia smartphones that are likely to receive Windows 10 Mobile OTA update starting from Feb. 29.

A Microsoft Mexico had revealed on Facebook that the much awaited software upgrade would begin from the end of this month. However, Microsoft has not released an official statement on it. The Redmond giant has been delaying the release of Windows 10 Mobile since December 2015.

Microsoft is also working on Windows 10 Mobile ROM to make it available for more number of Android devices this year. Rumours are rife that the company is building ROMs for OnePlus 2, Xiaomi Mi 5 and the forthcoming OnePlus 3 smartphone.
