The speculation still continues on who will portray the lead role of Christian Grey in the upcoming movie adaptation of the famous erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey."

A new Cuban-American actor named William Levy has recently been included to the list of actors that will bag the most coveted lead male role at this time. Do you think Levy would make a perfect Christian Grey?

The media buzz has helped in creating a debate on who among the Hollywood's hottest hunks could portray Christian Grey in the film and a list of the possible candidates continue to grow longer. Ryan Gosling appears to be the frontrunner on the list but Ian Somerhalder has also been making some noise as the actor who could perfectly become the on-screen Christian Grey.

"Twilight" actor Robert Pattinson is also frequently mentioned on the list but his current relationship drama with girlfriend Kristen Stewart could jeopardize his chance for getting the role.

William Levy brings his Latin appeal and high-quality dancing movies which can become an asset in portraying the male lead character. He has appeared on "Dancing With The Stars" and on the cover of People Magazine in Spanish during its special issue on the Sexiest Men of 2011.

Meanwhile, Levy was asked about what he thinks of the famous erotic novel. He revealed that he has actually heard about it every day and then started reading the book afterwards.

"When I started reading the book, I looked at these women in a different way let me tell you," Levy said as he referred to the fans who wanted him to play Christian Grey. "I would play it. I would love to do it," he added.

However, the decision on who will really portray Christian Grey in the upcoming film is dependent on who will get cast as the female lead Anastasia Steele. The female character in the novel has also created a list of potential actresses who could play her part in the movie which includes Lily Collins, Katie Cassidy, Emma Watson, Emilia Clarke, Alexis Bledel, Emma Stone and Lucy Hale. "Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart may not also be entrusted with the role after her cheating scandal.

This kind of speculation on who will get cast as the two lead characters in "Fifty Shades of Grey" is clearly unprecedented. The famous books of "Harry Potter" and "Lord of the Rings" did not really receive this kind of anticipation and hype with its movie adaptation. Whoever is chosen for the said role will most likely make two celebrities catapult into international fame and recognition.
