“Will & Grace” recently featured a reunion video just before the first presidential debate on Sept. 26, 2016. The video immediately went viral, although many noticed that it was very political in nature.

Original cast members Grace Adler (Debra Messing), Will Truman (Eric McCormack), Jack McFarland (Sean Hayes) and Karen Walker (Megan Mullally) were present in the short episode, which lasted under 10 minutes. The “Will & Grace” reunion clip was clearly about voting. The two stars talked about suffrage and politics, while the other characters attempted to convince Jack which presidential candidate would best serve America. Will and Grace were supporting Hillary Clinton, while Karen backed Donald Trump.

Messing has openly supported Hillary Clinton, a Democrat, in the past few months. The actress has been encouraging others to vote for her as well as spoke on the presidential candidate’s behalf at the Democratic National Convention in July, writes Entertainment Weekly. According to Messing, the “Will & Grace” video was intended to spread awareness for voting, aside from sharing her political views. The actress explained that voting is the great equalizer. It is the greatest privilege that Americans have and every vote is equally considered, regardless of skin color, wealth and religious belief.

Fans have been wondering if the #VoteHoney video clip also meant an official return of “Will & Grace.” Messing shared that if the show comes back, she prefers to have a short season for Netflix or Amazon. Messing said that doing 10 episodes, which would be a naughty version of “Will & Grace” might be a good idea. She wanted a new take on the comedy series because there were certain limitations when they were on network television. Streaming the show online would allow them more leeway in storytelling and hold back less.

Messing added that it would be good to step in to the role of Grace again. Mullally also said that it was the perfect time to revive “Will & Grace.” Fans will have to wait for an official announcement if the series will indeed return for a new season. More updates and details are expected soon.
