Katy Perry's official music video for 'Wide Awake' is finally out. It will surely shock a lot of fans with a different kind of Katy Perry that they will see in this video.

The entire video served as some kind of a mini movie that tells the journey of Katy Perry's life and career. Its ending is particularly perfect to promote her upcoming 3D film 'Part of Me.'

It starts with her being trapped in a huge labyrinth where she discovers the innocence in a little girl that looks exactly like her. Along the way, she finds herself followed by a lot of paparazzis and even stumbles upon her Prince Charming who crosses his fingers for a happy ending. It was interesting and funny to see Perry punching the prince charming straight on the face with her mini me version giving her a high five.

Katy Perry, in her recent interview with MTV, said that this brand new video symbolizes the last chapter of her years with the 'Teenage Dream.' It was her way of telling everyone that her life as a super pop star is not always on a high but has its own lows as well.

With this 'Wide Awake' video, Perry was successful in letting everyone know that she has made it through it all and ends up on top of her own world despite all the troubles that came to her life.
