As usual, people lined up in drones to purchase the new iPhone 6. Now, just as expected, some consumers have found something to complain about. The complaint has been tagged as "Bendgate," implying that the new iPhone 6 has a tendency to physically bend under pressure or stress. Jokes are even made about the iPhone 6 transforming into a "curve" model, but not in the way people would want it.

In response to this fiasco, Apple said that only 9 to 10 complaints have been lodged, thus far, out of the 10 million units of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus that have been sold to the market.

Apple stated that several media outlets have witnessed rigorous lab tests, which included some twisting and crushing, before the smartphones were released to the public. They even have a video of the torture tests done in Cupertino, California.

Ridiculously enough, Apple is always bombarded with scandals, each time they release a new generation of iPhone. Among the infamous controversies were, Antennagate,Scuffgate,- and now, Bendgate according to Business Insider. All issues were properly addressed by Apple even after their products were mocked with negative journalistic sensationalism.

Apple takes pride in their products. They ensure that before any phone is released, they go through a lot of quality control trials according to Re/code. To name a few, they have the sit test, the torsion test, the pressure point test and the painstaking three-point bend test. The video coverage shows that the iPhone 6 passed all these tests.
