There is a new guy in Lindsay Lohan's life and he is quite good looking too. He is helping Lindsay stay sober and the "Mean Girls" actress is surely on the path to recovery now. It is rumoured that Lohan is reportedly dating former NFL player Matt Nordgren. So who is this guy? Let's find out more.

The actress shared the picture of her and Nordgren on her Instagram page calling it a "nice evening." " @mattnordgren #justinetzin #lana nice evening :)," the actress wrote on the caption of the photograph. Nordgren was a quarterback for the University of Texas before playing one season for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2006. He enjoyed his stint with reality television when he starred in "Most Eligible Dallas" in 2011.

According to Daily Mail, Lindsay Lohan and hottie Matt Nordgren have known each other since a long time now (more than seven years) and see each other at fashion shows. However the romantic interest angle has just surfaced up recently.

In an earlier interview with The New York Post, Nordgren, who is now into business, says he and Lohan have "hung out" earlier but he is now trying to be her friend to support her and remain sober.

"We've hung out. But I have been a friend trying to support her for many years now," Nordgren told the newspaper about Lohan, who has been out of her rehab stint.

"She's completely sober for months now," he added. "She's in a great place, she's thinking clear and working hard and meeting with all the right people."

A source close to the actress has revealed that Nordgren is the type of man Lindsay needs in her life.

"He's a great influence on her," a source told the US Weekly on Tuesday. "He's also a Christian and won't drink around her. He's trying to keep her sober and on the straight and narrow. He's really good for her," the source added.

His Twitter id describes him as follows, "Texas, Family, Friendship, Loyalty, Leadership, Balance, Travel, Karma. That's me...not perfect but real."

According to his personal website, the 30-year-old currently works as an executive for his family's energy consulting firm, Nordco Inc. Energy Systems, in Dallas. Lohan was previously linked to guitarist Avi Snow earlier this year but their relationship could not blossom as Lohan was admitted to a 90-day rehabilitation program.
