Sony Pictures is reportedly securing the rights to an upcoming biography of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. The authorised life by former Time managing editor Walter Isaacson is perhaps the most definitive bio on the legendary Apple founder with almost 40 interviews with Jobs himself and more than 100 conversations with Jobs' friends, family and colleagues.

Sony is no stranger to biopics, having produced the critical darling, "The Social Network" and Brad Pitt's "Moneyball," so this could be another. Sony has already tapped Mark Gordon to produce the film, so development should get started soon.

Given the media attention around Jobs' death, Sony could fast track this film to hit theaters in just a few years. The question then is who can best play Jobs? Jobs had been played just once before in Martyn Burke's 1999 television movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley" by Noah Wyle. With such a high-profile project who do you think can play Steve Jobs in his biopic?
