The cause of death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, has yet to be determined. The 22-year-old died in an Atlanta-area hospice on July 26, Sunday, after being in a medically induced coma for almost six months.

There are no significant injuries found based on the recently completed initial portion of the autopsy for Bobbi Kristina. The Fulton County Medical Examiner will perform additional laboratory testing to determine the cause of her death.

According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s press release, Bobbi Kristina ’s cause of death will be determined and a death certificate will be issued only after all the tests are completed after “several weeks.” It also confirmed that “all investigative, medical, and other documentary records are received and thoroughly reviewed.”

The Fulton County district attorney said the circumstances of the incident on Jan. 31 when Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her Georgia home are still under investigation. On July 27, Monday, the Roswell Police Department said it will continue to investigate the circumstances that took place before the time of the incident that led to her death.

Nick Gordon shared Bobby Kristina’s Georgia home. According to him, Bobbi Kristina was not breathing and lacked a pulse when she was found unresponsive in her bathtub before help arrived. He reportedly could face murder charges being at the centre of the investigation.

After being found unresponsive and placed in a medically induced coma, Bobbi Kristina never regained consciousness to explain what had happened. In the last two months of her life, she was brought to a medical rehab facility and a hospice in Atlanta.

In a statement obtained by USA Today, the Houston family said Bobbi Kristina is “finally at peace in the arms of God.” They said they “want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

Born on March 4, 1993, Bobbi Kristina was 14 years old when her parents divorced and her mother gained custody. After her mother died in February 2012, she was the sole beneficiary of her estate.
