Fans who are eager to know where to buy the OnePlus One smartphone abound not only because of OnePlus One itself, but also because of other third party dealers and retailers.

Third party retailers are selling the OnePlus One for a premium, higher than the suggested price of the device. OopoMart is one of the retailers that offer the OnePlus One that is not direct from OPO itself.

OppoMart sells a 16 GB Silk White model of the OnePlus One and thus far, this is the best way fans can have the device without waiting for the invite from OPO. Yes, it is now possible to buy a OnePlus One without an invite, but there are still some major concerns like the risk of scams.

The gadget with the same hardware as the OnePlus One is available for $399 exclusive of the shipping fee but it still varies in software and LTE bands. For the LTE bands, there are various styles used in China and since this is a China specific device, users in North America and Europe will have problems in trying to use the OnePlus One bought from OppoMart or other third party retailers. The OnePlus One purchased from OppoMart doesn't have CyanogenMod 11S, but instead runs Color OS. The LTE standard covers a range of many different bands, each of which is labelled by both a frequency and a band number. In North America, 700, 750, 800, 850, 1900, 1700/2100 (AWS) and 2600 MHz (Rogers Communications, Bell Canada) are used (bands 4, 7, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 41); 2500 MHz in South America; 800, 900, 1800, 2600 MHz in Europe(bands 3, 7, 20);1800 and 2600 MHz in Asia (bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 11, 13, 40);and 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz in Australia and New Zealand (bands 3, 40). Approximately, phones from one specific country don't work in other countries. Consumers will need a multi-band capable phone to be able roam internationally.

Color OS and CyanogenMod

This OnePlus One has 2 versions: CyanogenMod version and China Color OS version. They are basically similar phones with similar hardware, similar bands, but they differ on software. All phones are installed with Color OS now, because CyanogenMod is not ready for OnePlus One yet. For those phones installed with Color OS, you could update your phone with CyanogenMod ROM from OnePlus official site or CyanogenMod community a few days later.
