Already done watching the top movies you ought to have seen before getting glued to Oscars 2013 next week? The much-anticipated and elusive award giving body for films is just around the corner and the buzz gets louder as it draws even nearer. With just seven days before the highly-watched event, find out the best way to enjoy the 85th Academy Awards this year.

The Oscars 2013 is scheduled on February 24, Sunday and it will be held at the Dolby Theatre in the Hollywood District of Los Angeles, California. With big stars and box-office hit films included in the line-up for the event’s major awards, millions of fans are expected to watch the spectacular and grand parade of beauties from the red carpet to the august hall of the Dolby Theater.

Still cringing at the controversial and one-of-a-kind tandem of Oscar’s youngest hosts, Anne Hathaway and James Franco? This year’s Academy is offering a whole new experience for yet another new host for the event. Seth Macfarlane leads Oscars 2013 ceremony - - as he has been confirmed to host the show for the first time.

Not known to many, the 39-year-old Macfarlane is an American actor, voice talent, animator and screenwriter, among others. He was announced to host the show in October 2012. The upcoming Oscars host is also nominated for for the Academy Award for the Best Original Song category.

The job could be a big challenge for Macfarlane who will be filling in a much-bigger shoes in the likes ofpopular Academy Awards hosts, particularly Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg and a few others.

It’s also the same pressure for the winners of the previous awards shows including BAFTAs, the Golden Globe, the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards as they have been nominated in the major categories on the 85th Academy Awards. Check out the complete list of nominees here.

A series of pre-Oscars events were lined-up leading to the spectacular awards show in the United States. Official screen credits began on November 30, 2012, followed by the official voting that began on December 17 and ended on January 4, 2013. Nominations were announced thirty minutes after the deadline on the same date and the fun-filled luncheon and annual class photos of nominees was held last February 4. The final voting begins on February 8 and it will close on February 19, before the awards itself on February 24.
