It’s now easier to spot important messages in a long chat thread on Whatsapp by pressing the ‘star’ on it. The new Whatsapp version introduces a beta version of star messages in the chat software for Android that makes the chat app more capable and powerful.

Those struggling to retrieve the most important information from chat conversations should use the star message option to highlight essential information beforehand to quickly access them later.

The chat software lets you highlight a message for later preview by pressing long so that when a star sign appears above the message, you click it, as reported by Phonearena.

The new Whatsapp version is a breakthrough in chat conversation that gives users more reason to use the app. No need to scour through heaps of media files and text files since star messages can fish out the portions one needs from a vast thread.

A user can now flip through DOCs, PDFs and other files in a jiffy and only check through the filtered ones. Given the growing size of APK installations and 380 modified files, the star message option adds ease to navigation.

To download and install the beta version in your chat software, simply press the download button on screen. The suggestion is not to download from the internet since the version may include some tech-glitches that can be avoided by waiting for the original version available from Play Store.

There’s no denying Whatsapp has become an important part of many users digital lives and helps them stay connected with family and friends without you having to pay anything. Though the app features a search option, it can’t promptly find messages in media files and chat page, said Android Police.
