“Wentworth” season 5 was officially confirmed after the shocking demise of Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) during the final episode of the fourth season. While several fans are looking forward to see how the next instalment would look, Kate Jenkinson (Allie) has teased fans about what her character will become now that Bea, her lesbian lover, was gone.

The actress has revealed that her reaction about the death of Cormack’s character was naive. She was left wondering, “If I’m not Bea’s girlfriend then who am I?”

But Jenkinson has eventually realised that the death of Bea is not as bad as it seems. She said the death of the series’ main character will make Allie a much more interesting character to see in “Wentworth” season 5.

She revealed that in “Wentworth” season 5, Allie will not feel safe. She feels she has no one and that her love has been taken away. Jenkinson explained that falling in love with Bea was the only time she felt in love with a person who loves her in return.

In “Wentworth” season 5, Allie will feel devastated and vulnerable. Her broken heart will lead her to pursue revenge. And Jenkinson thinks Allie is destined to become a more interesting character than viewers have seen in “Wentworth” season 4.

Allie would be recognised as the girl who fell in love with the prison’s top dog. She was calm, inviting and a non-threatening oasis of a character. In “Wentworth” season 4, she and Bea shared some intimate moments. In relation to this, Jenkinson has shared that she and Cormack would sit and discuss about what they are supposed to do during the particular scenes. She said doing the intimate scenes with Cormack requires a connection and trust.

“But we weren’t telling the story of how easy it was for Bea to have an orgasm,” she told Curve Mag. The actress has explained that the essence of the intimate scenes in “Wentworth” season 4 was to tell the story of how the characters completely surrender themselves to another human being.

Jenkinson has also starred in “The Wedge” and “Super Fun Night.” She was nominated for the Best Newcomer Award for her role as Julia in Black Swan's production of “Zastrozzi.”

It is likely that “Wentworth” season 5 will definitely see more of Jenkinson’s character. The series aired on SoHo in Australia. Official air date for “Wentworth” season 5 is expected to be announced in the near future.
