On Monday, Showcase, owned and operated by Foxtel Networks, has released a “Wentworth” season 5 official teaser. Numerous fans have become excited about the 15-second teaser video of the upcoming season.

The fifth season still does not have an official release date. However, fans have been clamouring to find out more information on the upcoming season. Recently, a Twitter user under the handle @rabeisqueen posted a video of the official teaser released by Showcase.

In the video, it shows a hand holding a rose in the foreground. In the background, however, there are a bunch of roses under Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) and Allie Novak’s (Kate Jenkinson) name inside a heart. It is drawn in the courtyard of the correctional facility. As the camera zooms in closer to the heart, a voice can be heard, saying, “Love never dies.” The screen becomes black with the following text coming afterwards: “Wentworth” and “new season” right underneath it.

According to the tweet replies, fans still are not over the fact that Bea Smith has met her untimely death under the hands of Joan “The Freak” Ferguson (Pamela Rabe). On the other hand, there are also fans that just cannot wait until May. According to reports, May is the supposed release of “Wentworth” season 5. This is due to its previous series releases.

‘Wentworth’ season one to four

According to Instagram user @ballie_09, all the previous seasons of “Wentworth” will be showing starting March 5. Foxtel will have a BoxSet channel wherein it will show the four season of “Wentworth” back to back. The release date of the fifth installment of the series may come sooner than May, according to fan speculations.

Beyond Foxtel’s BoxSet channel, fans can also watch seasons one to four on Netflix. The fourth season of “Wentworth” was released a week after the small screen finale last year. As of time of writing, there are no new teasers or trailers from Showcase or Foxtel.
