The pre-finale episode of “Wayward Pines” was aired on Fox on Thursday, July 23, 2015. Dubbed “The Reckoning,” the plot presented how Pilcher would respond if things do not go according to his wishes.

TV Line wrote that there was an urgent call for a reckoning after Alan plowed a truck through the fence to Andy and his own disadvantage. Pilcher and first class students of the First Generation separately led the reckoning. Jason, the brat pack leader, met resistance from Arlene, the sheriff’s office secretary. Ethan also asked Harold to produce a list of his companions or Kate might suffer. Ethan acceded and brought the list to Pilcher, where it was discovered that the rebels removed their tracking chips.

In the meantime, Amy had a seizure due to the swelling in her brain. Pam decided to find more answers and Theresa guided her to Plot 33 and gave her a card key. Theresa also discovered a stairs inside the shed, leading to various tunnels.

Jason returned with his companions to gain control of the police station. They released Kate, Harold and other resistance members then Jason killed each of them off with a shotgun. Harold was killed but Kate was saved at the last moment when Ethan arrived and shot down Jason. Theresa then led Ethan and Kate to the tunnels she found. They saw a computer full of video journals, several of which originated from their Adam, their Secret Service leader. One footage from September 4020 showed Adam looking at a destroyed San Francisco. Abbies were hunting him and his search party.

Ethan and his group attempted to kill Pilcher, but ultimately unveiled various truths about him. IGN reported that Pilcher cut the power to the town as more residents realized facts about him and all the surrounding schemes. The power to the wall was also turned off, allowing the Abbies to enter and attack everyone. Pilcher seemed to be contemplating suicide because of the revelations against him and planned to bring everyone else down with him.

The penultimate episode of “Wayward Pines,” titled “Cycle,” is set to air on July 23, 2015. Catch it on FOX at 9 PM.
