Roger Federer will open his 2016 campaign against Germany’s Tobias Kamke in the 2016 Brisbane International at Pat Rafter Arena.

Federer, who ended last year as No. 3 in the Emirates ATP world rankings, is looking to add another majors title in the 2016 season but the Swiss Maestro does not stress himself of an 18th Grand Slam victory, insisting that he is happy with what he has achieved in his 17-year of tennis greatness.

“It would be amazing to win another grand slam,” Federer said, reports The National. “It might happen and if not, I’m OK with that.”

Federer’s last Grand Slam title was in 2012, when he defeated world No. 2 Andy Murray in the final round of Wimbledon. Last season, the 34-year-old Swiss was close to adding another Grand Slam title at Wimbledon and the US Open, but was defeated by world No.1 Novak Djokovic, prompting Federer to bring in new coach Ivan Ljubicic of Croatia.

Djokovic, who opened his 2016 season with a victory at the Qatar Exxonmobil Open in Doha, admitted it is “bizarre” seeing his friend Ljubicic mentoring his on-court rival Federer this year. The Serb said Ljubicic knows his game, which could be the reason why Federer hired the Croatian coach.

"He (Ljubicic) knows my game, he knows the game of all Roger's opponents, and I think that's one of the reasons why Roger has hired him," Djokovic said, reports the Straits Times. "Whether it's going to work or not, that's something to see for all of us, but I wish them all the best.”

Meanwhile, only two Aussies are remaining in the 2016 Brisbane International. Oliver Anderson will face Croatian Ivan Dodig, while Bernard Tomic will take on Frenchman Nicolas Mahut.
