Norman Reedus has a massive fan following because of his larger than life character Daryl Dixon on “The Walking Dead.” In an interview, Reedus explained why people are fans of Daryl.

Reedus talked to io9 about his character Daryl Dixon. He stated that Daryl wears his heart in his sleeve. “I don’t think he is trying to trick you or fool you, I think he has a certain level of loyalty to him that he would never cross boundaries with that,” Reedus said during the interview.

The “Air” star added that usually people start off good and they turn bad, but with Daryl, he was a bad person, a loner who could not relate to others. Daryl didn’t want people around him, but slowly he changed his ways and became a different person.

Reedus said that it is like people are watching Daryl become a man who believes in himself. The actor said that he is becoming admirable and other survivors are relying on him.

Meanwhile, Reedus was also asked if he thought his character Daryl will die when executive Robert Kirkman called him for the script. He said that when the executive producer and creator of the show calls and says that he wants to talk about something, all the cast members would think that something will happen to their character.

He added that at some point all the characters might die and he joked that his character’s longevity will depend upon his film’s ("Air") performance.
