Emily Kinney talked to Access Hollywood about "The Walking Dead" show's influence and "Rockstar." She said that she had been recording in between shooting TWD episodes in Atlanta.

"Back and forth this season between shooting, I have been recording and I feel like Atlanta is definitely getting infused into my songs or even just the people that I'm meeting and my perspective on things, because one thing I do like to do in my songs is I do like to draw from my life and the things that I'm going through, so that will definitely come through," the singer-actress told Access Hollywood.

Kinney mentioned that the character she played in "The Walking Dead" Beth Greene influenced her music. She said that she is hopeful to release the new music next year.

One of the songs titled "Last Chance" from Emily Kinney's next album is about the end of the world.

"And I realized while I was writing that song, I was like, 'Why am I writing this weird song?' and I realized a lot of it was just because of the thoughts that have gone through my head as Beth. I was like, 'Why do I keep feeling like I need to say this?' ... You'll see, but it's kind of about the end of the world."

Kinney wants to tour more in 2014 to promote her EP "Expired Love" and new music. The singer-actress said she is "really excited about planning dates" for 2015.

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 second-half episodes air in February 2015 on AMC.
