“The Walking Dead” season 7 episode 13 promises to be a good one for Rick and company as they just might get the answer they want from the seemingly weary leader of the Kingdom, Ezekiel, on “Bury Me Here.” With Jadis and her junkyard group pretty much “sealed up” and Carol shaking off the dust, Rick and the Alexandrians are getting closer to their goal.

Spoiler alert: This preview contains plot details about “The Walking Dead” season 7. The season premiered Oct. 20. The series is available for Australian viewers to watch on Foxtel every Monday, 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Rick is so deep in recruit mode that he and Michonne risked their own lives to get Jadis and her group their guns. Rick is now a step closer to fighting Negan and the Saviours with his own army, and “The Walking Dead” executive producer Greg Nicotero says the soon-to-be-announced successful staffing is only going to further fuel the Alexandrian’s swagger.

“It looks pretty much like they’ve got that sealed up,” says Nicotero. “The bigger Rick’s army gets, the more confident he is in terms of trying to take on Negan.”

But Rick needs more recruits for the all-out war as Jadis and her junkyard group aren’t enough to topple Negan. Good thing that Ezekiel looks like he’s about to snap next episode. “The Walking Dead” season 7 episode 13 synopsis says that “things do not go as planned when a group of Kingdommers delivers goods to the Saviours during a routine supply drop-off,” and that could prove to be the turning point for Ezekiel and his people.

Just like Jadis, Ezekiel is expected to join Rick and the Alexandrians very soon. But it remains to be seen if all of their forces are going to do some serious blow to Negan’s reign. After all, he’s one tough cookie to deal with.

“He’s a formidable force in the show,” Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick, tells Variety about the bat-swinging villain. “I think there’s a long way to go yet before we are anything like the army that we need to be in order to challenge him or take him down.”

Another Alexandrian is also making moves against Negan. Rosita, tired of waiting for the perfect time to strike, sought after Sasha last episode. The two are now apparent buddies with a shared desire to finish off the Saviours’ leader. It’s a one-way ticket for the both of them, though, and they know it.

“Once Olivia died and Eugene was taken because of Rosita’s actions, she has nothing left to live for,” Nicotero tells EW. “She’s ready to go and she doesn’t care how she does it.”

Rosita found the perfect partner in Sasha, who’s just as desperate for revenge as her. Their chances of taking down Negan on their own are slim. And if they fail, they have the about the same odds of staying alive.

“The Walking Dead” season 7 episode 13 is going to feature Carol in action, too, which should be a treat to watch since she has been on vacation mode for a while now. She is set to leave the house and make her way to the Kingdom. She also gets to smash walkers that cross her path, perhaps in preparation for the upcoming war.
