“The Walking Dead” season 7, episode 9 doesn’t air until February 12 (13 in Australia), but one thing is for sure, Rick and company have had enough of Negan, and they’re ready to fight back.

Spoiler alert: This preview contains plot details about “The Walking Dead” season 7. The season premiered Oct. 20. The series is available for Australian viewers to watch on Foxtel every Monday, 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Rick has been miserable all throughout the first eight episodes of season 7, but as the preview video of the next episode shows, he is clearly trying to make up for lost time and inaction. He tries to persuade King Ezekiel to join him and others against Negan and the Saviors. He even guarantees victory, a complete 180 to what he was saying the entire first half of season 7.

“We already started this, and we’re going to win, whatever it takes,” Rick says. “Join us in fighting.”

Even Andrew Lincoln, the actor playing Rick, guaranteed that fans shall get to see more action and less pity parties when “The Walking Dead” season 7 returns, saying that the entire second half is the exact opposite of the whole first half. Negan is definitely going to get his share of payback, but the Saviors’ leader isn’t going down easily, despite the allied powers that are set to rally against him. His days of tormenting other survivors are far from over.

“It's only just beginning, really,” said Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie, as quoted by Digital Spy. “He has such a life, such an electric energy, and that what makes this character so terrifying.”

“The Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman also said that Negan is going to be “an ever-present, constant threat that is going to change everything moving forward.” Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays the charismatic and sadistic leader of the Saviors, backed that up by confirming that Negan isn’t going anywhere and will be around for “The Walking Dead” season 8.
