Rick opens up the “Walking Dead” season 7, episode 9 trailer with a speech, saying that Alexandria, the Hilltop and the Kingdom have something in common: they all serve the Saviors. Rick has finally snapped out of his misery and is now ready to fight, but he must first convince the other communities to join in to stand a chance.

Fortunately, Rick is talking to King Ezekiel on the trailer, who seems intrigued with what Rick has to say. Rick further pushes his luck, guaranteeing a victory over the Saviors.

“We already started this, and we’re going to win, whatever it takes,” says Rick. “Join us in fighting.”

It’s safe to say that Rick is going all out against Negan and the Saviors, but it seems that he’s not the only one who realises the urgency of the situation. Richard, Ezekiel’s right-hand man, is also tired of Negan’s rule over everybody.

“Together we can beat them. We set things right,” insists Richard. “The time is now.”

The extended sneak peek of “The Walking Dead” season 7, episode 9 also shows the good guys at the Hilltop discussing their plan of attack. Fearing that the Saviors will be looking for Daryl once they realise he’s gone, Rick decides to get back to Alexandria. That’s when Jesus butts in and shows them a walkie-talkie he got from one of Negan’s men.

“You don't have to get back, not yet,” says Jesus. “It's one of theirs, long-range. We can listen in and keep track of them.”

Michonne then asks what they should do instead of going back. Jesus answers with his comic book line: “I think it's time I introduce you to Ezekiel.”
