“The Walking Dead” season 6B is gearing up to be an exciting addition to the AMC series. Apart from beloved characters facing off against a horde of walkers including the upcoming threat of the villain Negan, another major comic book character is set to join the zombie apocalyptic series.

The cowardly leader of the Hilltop Colony, named Gregory, will be making his appearance in the second half of “The Walking Dead” season 6. The actor is set to bring the character Xander Berkeley to life, according to TVLine. Berkeley is known for his roles in TV series such as “24,” “Nikita,” “The Mentalist,” among others.

Berkeley's character Gregory may be labeled a coward, but he would still pose a great danger to “The Walking Dead” characters Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, and Maggie Greene, played by Lauren Cohan. According to Robert Kirkman’s comic books, Gregory will betray the series’ beloved characters to the villain Negan, to be played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Berkeley’s “The Walking Dead” character will also make Rick and Maggie’s lives a living hell, E!News reported. Gregory will also play a critical role in leading Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) to his death.

The addition of two major comic book characters Negan and Gregory to “The Walking Dead” season 6B are just some of the storylines that fans are looking forward to. Apart from that, loyal viewers are also excited to see just how Rick and his gang will survive the massive walker attack in Alexandria. In a previous interview, “The Walking Dead” creator and showrunner Kirkman even hinted that many people will die in the second half of season 6.

Showrunner Scott Gimple also teased during a previous “Talking Dead” interview that the upcoming “The Walking Dead” season 6B premiere will feature chaos, tragedy and terror. He stated, "We will be wooing you with the weirdest of Valentine's Day gifts: Chaos, terror, heartbreak, heroics, tragedy, and terror. Yes, that's two terrors. Friends, in all seriousness, episode nine is one of the biggest episode we have done. Greg [Nicotero] and the astounding cast and crew made magic ... This one is gargantuan ...”

“The Walking Dead” season 6B returns on Feb. 14 in the US on AMC.
