‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 spoilers: Daryl may be hitting the dirt though Glenn may also be dead

“The Walking Dead” executive producer Robert Kirkman has said that the TV series will “never be the same” after the arrival of new villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Kirkman described Negan as an “atomic bomb” and he assured that there will be “lots of shake-ups” when Season 6B returns.

[Spoiler Alert] This has led “The Walking Dead” fans to believe that Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) may die in “The Walking Dead” when Season 6 returns on Feb. 14. The episode has been named. Moreover, recent photographs by The Walking Dead do reveal that Daryl is in imminent danger.

The images are of Daryl, Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam). The upcoming episode will start from right where the last episode ended, that is, Sasha, Abraham and Daryl’s run in with Negan’s Saviours. Daryl sure has got a lot of red on him.

Although the photos do not reveal much, “The Walking Dead” fans did see special prologue clip that showed Daryl, Abraham and Sasha happen upon a new threat, namely, Negan’s gang.

Show-runner Scott Gimple had previously revealed that some major chaos and loss is coming in the second half of Season 6. That also made fans believe that perhaps Daryl’s time is up.

Previously, it was reported that Reedus has sold his house, which fuelled fan speculation as to Daryl’s fate. Then Michael Rooker and Tyler James Williams showed up on set. Finally, when Reedus announced he would be getting his own AMC show, rumours swirled for a while, writes Hollywood Take.

However, it is also possible that Negan may kill Glenn (Steven Yeun) instead, as in comics though “The Walking Dead” is known to deviate from the comics. Some of the fan theories have also suggested that there won’t be much of a build-up about whether Glenn is alive or dead if he is to be killed later in the season. Hence, fans are thinking it's Daryl.

A leaked footage from the finale however shows Negan raising his barbed wire-covered baseball bat and getting ready to kill someone. Watch a “The Walking Dead” promo here.
