From the blind auditions, fans can expect some real competition in "The Voice" Season 7 (2014). NBC's popular reality singing show recently wrapped up its first stage of competition wherein the four judges--Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton--selected 48 artists. These artists will now compete in the Battle Rounds as they get one step closer to the most coveted title, trophy and prize. 'The Voice' Season 7 (2014) Battle Rounds

At the end of the Blind Auditions, each coach had 12 artists in his or her team. Moving on to Battle Rounds, each coach will pair two artists from his or her team to compete against each other. These two artists will perform the same song. The artists who performed better will move on to the Knockout Round and the other one will either get eliminated or will be stolen/recruited by another coach. This round gives each coach opportunities to steal two artists.

'The Voice' Season 7 (2014) Battle Rounds-Part 1 Recap [Spoilers]

The show kicked off with the performance by Team Pharrell, which is being mentored by Alicia Keys. The first pair from the team to perform was Elyjuh Rene and Maiya Sykes. The two sang "If I Ain't Got You." (Scroll down for the results.)

The next pair to perform was from Team Adam. Chris Jamison and Jonathan Wyndham were put together to perform "Young Girls" by Bruno Mars.

They were followed by contestants from Team Gwen. Sugar Jones battled Jean Kelley by singing "Survivor" by Destiny's Child. Jean Kelley torched the first steal for the season.

From Team Blake, James David Carter was paired with Craig Wayne Boyd. They sang "Wave on Wave" by Pat Green.

Next up were artists from Team Gwen. Amanda Lee Peers and Taylor John Williams were paired together and the performed "Jolene" by Dolly Parton.

Artists from Team Pharrell took the stage next. Griffin and Luke Wade sang "Maybe I Am Amazed" by Paul McCartney.

'The Voice' Season 7 (2014) Battle Rounds- Part 1 Results

Team Pharrell: Elyjuh Rene defeated Maiya Sykes. Luke Wade defeated Griffin, who was stolen by Blake Shelton.

Team Adam: Chris Jamison defeated Jonathan Wyndham. Jonathan Wyndham was sent home.

Team Gwen: Sugar Jones defeated Jean Kelley. However, Jean was stolen by Pharrell Williams. Taylor John Williams won the round and Amanda got eliminated.

Team Blake: James David Carter defeated Craig Wayne Boyd. Boyd was later stolen by Coach Gwen.
