On Monday, Nov. 17, "The Voice" Season 7 hosted its first live show performance episode. Based on the performances, the segment featured the result episode which saw some shocking eliminations. "The Voice" Season 7 (2014) Live Show Part 1

During the Live Shows, the top 12 contestants performed to impress not only the coaches but also the public to win the votes. The public decides who moves on to the next stage of the competition and who goes back home. They voice their opinion through various voting mediums that are opened after the performance episode.

The first Live Show elimination episode featured some emotional sendoffs and narrowed down the competition from top 12 to top 10. The first iTunes multiplier bonus of this season was earned by Team Adam contestant Matt McAndrew for singing the song "Take Me to Church." He reached the fifth position on the iTunes Top 200 Chart.

The show kickstarted with a group performance by Team Gwen and the coach. They sang "The Tide is High." The performance was followed by announcement of results. Carson Daly took the stage to name those who were safe and were advancing to the next stage of "The Voice" Season 7.

Based on public votes, the first person to be announced safe was obviously Team Adam's Matt McAndrew. Team Gwen's Anita Antoinette have received the second highest votes from the public. DaNica Shirey from Team Pharell and Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake were declared safe.

The show also saw a performance by UK sensation Ella Henderson. She sang her latest single "Ghost." Announcement of results was resumed after Henderson's scintillating performance. From Team Adam, the next person to be declared safe was Damien. As for Team Blake, contestant Reagan James also found a place in the safe zone.

Next up was Team Blake alongside their coach performing "Sad Songs (Say So Much)." Following the performance, Carson called out names of the three artists who were safe. Taylor John Williams from Team Gwen, Chris Jamison from Team Adam and Luke Wade from Team Pharrell were not going home.

Those who figured in the bottom three were Sugar Joans, Ryan Sill and Jessie Pitts. They all sang for "instant save." It is the feature that allows viewers to save their favourite artist from elimination via voting on Twitter during the five-minute voting window.

Jessie Pitts from Team Blake sang "Gravity" by Sara Bareilles. Sugar Joans by Team Pharrell sang "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" by Whitney Houston. Ryan Sill from Team Gwen performed "More Than Words" by Extreme. Those who were eliminated are Team Pharrell contestant Sugar Joans and Team Blake artist Jessie Pitts. Ryan Sill was saved by Instant Save.

"The Voice" Season 7 returns on Nov. 24 with Live Shows Part 2 Performance episode. It will be followed by eliminations on Nov. 25. The Top 10 artists will set the stage on fire once again to win the votes and get closer to the most coveted title, contract and trophy.
