The Voice Season 5 showcased 12 singers Monday night including Caroline Pennell, a New Jersey native.

Pennell, who was up first, stole the hearts of fans according to The Voice coach Cee Lo Green. Green selected Avicil's "Wake Me Up" for Caroline Pennell for Monday night's challenge.

The first time Caroline Pennell set her foot on the stage of The Voice, she has already stolen a lot of hearts. The 17-year-old, according to her fans, has stolen enough hearts to safely become The Voice's next champ.

Her vocal style is very "indie" according to Wetpaint, likening her to singers the likes of Sia and Regina Spektor.

Caroline Pennell fans say that while the singer is not the first one to have this voice quality in the singing competition, she is one of the best.

During The Voice Season 1, Dia Frampton filled the archetype that Pennell has just filled for Season 5. Frampton was followed by Season 3 contestant Melanie Martinez who famously gave Britney Spears's song "Toxic" a refreshing twist.

The Voice fans note that although Pennell reminds them of previous indie type singers, Caroline has "something warmer" to offer that may enable the 17-year-old to win the contest.

Caroline is said to know her strengths and also has humility that the fans truly adore about her. Pennel, who started out in the show as the shy one in the group, later developed her confidence on stage. According to sources, the confidence she developed through the knockout rounds and battles has enabled Pennell to find her own voice. It is said that the singer has stopped imitating other indie darlings after finding out about the power of her voice.

Although it is not sure what is going to happen in the coming weeks, if Caroline Pennell performs the same way as she did with her "Wake Me Up" cover, she is likely going to win or at least be in the top 3.

Caroline Pennell is one of the most popular contestants in The Voice Season 5, most searched name among the 10, and her songs are the most downloaded too according to sources.
