Part one of “The Voice” finals might be a game changer. While the momentum had been in favour of Billy Gilman for the whole season, Sundance Head just managed to pull off an outstanding performance in the finals which could change how the course runs. As for the We McDonald and Josh Gallagher, they also did their best.

The show begins with Billy Gilman’s rendition of a Frank Sinatra classic, “My Way.” It may be early into the night, but it looks like a showstopper has been pulled off this early. Once again, Billy Gilman looked like the one to beat in the show and he has proven again that the hype is real and he needs to do no explaining by his performance.

Next up was another entry from Team Adam, Josh Gallagher. He was instructed not to “sing” his original number, which he wrote along with Season 10 and 11 hopeful Nolan Neal, but so “sang” it. Gallagher says that his original number describes him in full detail. This meant he fancied himself as a homegrown boy who will live his whole life and then pass away with his small-town savvy.

Next was We McDonald and Alicia Keys with a performance fitting for the Holiday season -- their rendition of the classic Ave Maria. Alicia’s soprano tunes complimented the alto range showcased by McDonald and both sang solemnly to the delight of many.

To complete the four was an explosive performance from Team Blake’s bet, Sundance Head. Sundance absolutely slayed with his original song as he offered his usual seamless blend of bluegrass and soul. These performances were followed by Gilman’s duet with Coach Adam of “Bye Bye Love.” Then came McDonald’s soulful performance of her original song “Wishes.” Next, Adam Levine and Liam Gallagher performed “Smooth” by Santana and Rob Thomas, where they both played guitar. Finally, Sundance Head’s father Roy Head took the stage with a fun duet of “Treat Her Right.”

Sundance followed through with his soulful rendition of “At Last,” which was followed by Gilman’s performance of his original, “Because of Me.” McDonald closed the night with a performance of Barbra Streisand’s “Don’t Rain on My Parade.” Tonight’s votes and downloads will tell who will be the next champion of “The Voice.” The results will be announced the following day, December 14, on NBC.
