Vivid Sydney 2015 is underway. It started on Friday, May 22, 2015 and it will end on Monday, June 8, 2015. Vivid Sydney is Australia’s annual outdoor lighting festival that features various artistic projections, light installations and sculptures all around the city including Chatswood and Central Park Precincts. Aside from these lighting spectacles, musical performances from various artists around the world as well as a forum for exchanging brilliant ideas are also offered.

The official website of Vivid Sydney mentioned a total of 13 Precincts that will be part of the festival of lights, music and ideas. It includes The University of Sydney and Campbell's Cove. Check out the list below to see the other precincts.

The Central Park and Chatswood Precincts are the newest additions to the Vivid Sydney Precincts. The Central Park activities for Vivid Sydney 2015 run from 6:00 p.m. up to midnight until June 8, 2015. One of the highlights in Central Park is the “Streets Ahead” light show. It features the artwork of indigenous artist Reko Rennie and multidisciplinary artist Beastman. “Streets Ahead” tickets are free of charge.

Children under 12 years old can also eat dinner for free at selected retailers in Central Park’s The Living Mall until June 8. Plus, there will be a silent disco during Friday and Saturday nights, free interactive entertainment and night markets.

As for the Chatswood Precinct activities, these will run from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. It features the work of Ample Projects and 32 Hundred Lighting. It is powered by GreenPower. Those who will visit Chatswood are in for a “flowing light walk journey with mesmerising immersive light experiences.”

One of the highlights of the Chatswood Precinct is “The Nautilus and the Sea” by Ample Projects and TDC. It is located at The Concourse in Sydney’s suburb of North Shore. The other Chatswood attractions are the “Jellyfish Chandeliers,” “Lieutenant Angler” and “Norbert the Nautilus.”

As for the other Vivid Sydney 2015 Precincts, Campbell’s Cove will have "Tidal Reed Garden," "Jigsaw" and "Lux Forma." Meanwhile, the Sydney Opera House features the “Lighting The Sails” and “Splendens” events. Click here to see the other activities in Vivid Sydney 2015.
