“Vikings” season 4 is all set to return for its 16th episode. Fans are undoubtedly excited to see what happens next in the hit US television series. It would be interesting to see how the lives of the remaining characters will change following the demise of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel)

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Vikings” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.

Episode 16 titled Crossings will focus on Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig), Ragnar’s first-born son.

Bjorn will be travelling to the Mediterranean. Latest reports say that the journey is not going to be smooth. He and his team will have to face chaos.

Official synopsis for “Vikings” season 4 episode 16 says: “Bjorn’s fleet sails onward and launches a surprise attack; back in Kattegat, Lagertha continues in her quest for power.”

Other “Vikings” news claims that another lead character is set to meet her demise before the current instalment ends. This is no other than Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick). Several viewers are afraid that the core characters of Michael Hirst’s historical drama will fall one after the other.

But one of the characters from the critically acclaimed drama could only be faking his death. According to a Reddit user named LuckOrFated, Ragnar is not dead. Others doubt the claim and say viewers should learn to let go.

As for the rumoured death of Lagertha, some fans of the US television series are guessing that it is Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) who will kill her. Ivar sees her seated on the throne of Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland). This makes him want to regain power.

Therefore, Ivar wants to battle Lagertha. He also has a lot to avenge about. That includes the death of his mother.

Episode 16 is slated to air on Jan. 4 at 9PM ET on History and is expected to air in Australia on the same day. The second part of “Vikings” season 4 aired in Australia on November 30, 2016.
