“Vikings” season 4 episode 16 titled “Crossing” will definitely be a game changer. It will be interesting to see how the story will proceed following Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel), the infamous Viking’s death.

The show will not be the same after Ragnar’s death but certainly the story will become interesting in the following episodes. As of now, the heartbroken fans take solace in knowing just one thing: vengeance is going to come from Ivar (Alex Hogh Andersen).

Bjorn’s fleet launches a surprise attack

The forthcoming episode, however, will bring back the attention on Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig), whom the fans have been missing form past couple of episodes.

Bjorn’s fleet will continue making effort to keep sailing towards their destination. The journey will not be smooth as it has been so far. On course of their journey, they will reach a place (supposedly the land bordering the Mediterranean) and this is the place from where the trouble will begin.

Bjorn’s fleet will launch a surprise attack, according to the synopsis of “Vikings” season 4 episode 16. However, the attack will be aimed at whom remains to be seen. Furthermore, it would be interesting to see what role Uncle Rollo (Clive Standen) will play during the attack.

The promo shows Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) telling Halfdan (Jasper Pääkkönen) and Harald (Peter Franzén) that they will have to kill him before killing the people they meet. Thereafter, Harald declares that he wants to get rid of Bjorn, and hence the legacy of Ragnar. Perhaps, they will sort out their differences in the wake of their mission.

Ivar confronts Lagertha who is in quest for more power

After killing Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) to claim power in Kattegat, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) continues her quest for more power. Meanwhile, Ivar is back and screaming for the death of his father as well as mother. He wants to take revenge from Lagertha who is aware of the danger. She asks the Seer if she should kill him. However, Ivar will not be killed. After all, he has to avenge his father’s death. If Lagertha will be killed remains a mystery. However, Winnick is present on the sets of “Vikings” season 5, which clearly reflects death isn’t coming any soon to Lagertha. But will other characters die? Only time will tell.

“Vikings” season 4 episode 16 air on Jan.4 at 9PM ET. This season is scheduled to air in Australia on SBS One from Jan.11 at 8:30PM.
