Surgeons took half a day to reattach the severed penis of an unidentified 32-year-old Vietnamese man on Monday, Sept 5. The genital was chopped off by 29-year-old Nguyen Van Huan from Bac Giang Province.

Huan suspected his wife was having sex with the victim, so he stalked her and found the two inside a hotel. After cutting off the manhood of his wife’s lover, Huan threw the organ about 200 metres away from the hotel.

However, relatives of the victim eventually convinced Huan, a stone sculptor, to tell them where he threw the severed penis which the kin recovered two hours later and brought to the Bac Giang General Hospital, reports News.com.au. Dr Nguyen Van Dong, the surgeon, says the victim is now in stable condition, but it would take days before they would know if the reattached genital would function again.

Huan is facing charges of deliberately inflicting injuries. The victim is one of the rare times when it was another man who did the chopping off and not the wife who was cheated.

Thought Catalog listed 23 women who had cut off their partner’s penis for cheating, with a lot of the incidents happening in Asia. The pioneer in the cutting department is Lorena Bobbitt, an Ecuadorian housewife in Virginia who threw the bloody penis of her husband, John Wayne Bobbitt, into an abandoned field. Police found the severed organ which was reattached through surgery and remain functional that John Wayne even starred in two porn movies.

The most recent incident involved Feng Lung, the wife of Fan Lung who used her phone to send an email to his mistress. In her anger, Feng snipped off his genital and threw it out of the window which possibly was eaten by stray animals because it was no longer found.
