Fans know Christian Balfe for his memorable portrayal of Batman on screen. The actor has taken on a new challenge by playing Dick Cheney in the upcoming film “Vice.” The first trailer of the movie has been released online, and it shows the fantastic transformation of Bale.

The trailer starts off with a conversation between Cheney and former US President George W. Bush, played by Sam Rockwell. The conversation is about Bush wanting Cheney to be his vice president.

Cheney explains how powerful he has become over the years. He has been secretary of defence, White House chief of staff, and is the CEO of a large company. He knows that the vice president’s job is mostly symbolic, with no real power. So, he wants to come to a different understanding with the presidential candidate.

In order to agree to run the campaign along with Bush, Cheney wants an assurance that he will be allowed to run some of the “mundane” jobs like overseeing the bureaucracy, military, energy, and foreign policy. In the clip, Bush thinks this is a good idea, essentially promising the vice president all the powers that he is supposed to hold after winning.

In order to make the film feel authentic, Bale has gone through a huge physical transformation. The film is based on the true story of Cheney, and it chronicles his rise over the years. His career changed the course of history.

“Vice” has been directed by Adam McKay, who is famous for directing the film “The Big Short,” which is about Wall street during the housing market crash in 2008. McKay is bringing back actors who he has worked with before, including Steve Carell (Donald Rumsfeld).

The film is set to be released on Dec. 21 in the US. The producers are yet to announce a release date for Australia.
