Gadget shoppers have been psyched over the Verizon Galaxy S4 since the big Samsung "Unpacked" event in New York City mid-March. Verizon has not formally announced it will be carrying the new Samsung flagship phone, but U.S. buyers are anticipating the news, anyway. In Australia, MobiCity shoppers can pre-order now to (hopefully) get the S4 on Apr. 26.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 price tag is marked $829 on MobiCity for shoppers in Australia. This amount is for the 4G LTE 16GB variant.

"Stocks are expected on April 26th and demand will be high, so place your pre-order now to reserve your allocation," reads the MobiCity Galaxy S4 page.

The Galaxy S4 runs on the latest Android iteration, 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Inside the device is a quad-core processor on Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset, clocking at 1.9 GHz with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The phone's rear camera competes with that of Sony Xperia Z -- able to yield 13 megapixel images and 1080p videos. There is also a 2MP front camera for sharp images during video conferences.

For those interested in the smaller S4, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is marked "coming soon" at MobiCity.

Meanwhile, many U.S. buyers are awaiting Verizon's announcement on carrying the S4 in its stores. Unlike T-Mobile, AT&T, and US Cellular, Verizon has not hyped up any S4 offering. So sleuthing Android users tried to find answers for themselves. Droid-life.com has an update to those who have been impatient for Verizon Galaxy S4 news and updates.

"(W)e saw their version of the (S4) cruise through the FCC at the end of last week," the tech site reported, adding that this is more than sufficient indication that S4 will indeed come out via Verizon. However, reports suggest that other carriers will release ahead of Verizon. Droid-life hinted Verizon's S4 marketing design may have something to do with the delay. The site also ran images of the Verizon Galaxy S4. (Start the slideshow for the images.)
