Hollywood celebrities are going gaga over getting inked nowadays. However for one young celebrity, her said ink was a bit on the washable side.

The celebrity was none other than Vanessa Hudgens and now she speaks up on sporting a fake tattoo.

Disney's "High School Musical" star definitely isn't a kid anymore. Apart from hitting the beach in her beach body and bikini and flaunting her latest eye-candy, Austin Butler, Vanessa is sporting a few tattoos.

In a recent photograph caught of the actress during her trip to Hawaii, Vanessa showed off a tattoo of a famous Beatles lyric inked on her foot.

Though this caused quite a frenzy, it turns out the tattoo was a complete fake and it was none other than Vanessa Hudgens who admitted all about it. The 23-year old who was busy promoting her latest film, "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island", with Josh Hutcherson and Dwayne Johnson appeared on the Jay Leno show.

When Leno brought out a copy of a magazine showing Vanessa and her boyfriend, Austin Butler, on the beach of Hawaii, much attention was instead focused on the tattoo of Vanessa on her foot which read: "All you need is love."

Of course, the question everyone wanted to know was: did getting inked hurt? To which Vanessa answered with a coy smile and finally admitted that the tattoo was a fake.

"It's fake. I have this mad obsession with drawing on myself. I can't help it. I draw all over my hands, my arms, my foot ... It's hard to commit to a tattoo, like I have a few, but when you write on yourself, it's not as much of a commitment," says Vanessa.

Having that figured out, Leno steered the conversation to Vanessa's surfing skills. Having spent all her free time on the beaches of Australia and Hawaii, surfing was one other activity Vanessa managed to pull off.

"I can surf," shares Vanessa. "I've been blessed with the skill of actually being able to do it, but I don't like doing it. I don't like getting splashed by water. It's really ridiculous and I don't know why."

Vanessa wasn't the only guest on the show as Jay Leno introduced another guess whom Vanessa excitingly greeted with: "It's Harry Potter!" Daniel Radcliffe also appeared on the show as he too has a film to promote.

The post-Potter film, "The Woman in Black", will be released Friday in the US and by the 10th of February in the UK.
