Just when things are about to get more exciting, another YouTube teaser has been released for the series finale that will air on March 10. This time, it actually answers the question of who Elena had been talking to earlier. As a lot of fans might expect, she was talking to her long lost love Stefan Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder). If this isn’t enough to excite a lot of fans, it gets even more intriguing when Stefan is shown all suited up as if he is about to get married to someone. This sneak peek is also loaded with a lot of nostalgic elements.

Almost every fan is aware by now that major bombs will be dropped on the series finale of “The Vampire Diaries.” What is even more exciting is that executive producer Julie Plec recently dropped more plot hints -- and these do not point to pleasant things.

Viewers are excited about Nina Dobrev’s return and what she has brought with her. It has to be remembered that she played a lot of characters during her stint on the show. There have been several fan theories about where she has been. For now, it can be assumed that she has been through the gates of hell.

Plec revealed that while Elena Gilbert will be seen once again, viewers will also be treated with a glimpse of Katherine, another character on the show also played by Dobrev. When Plec was asked if viewers would see another Klaus and Caroline moment, she did not give out too much and just said “sort of.” Finally, when asked if the series would end if the ending will converge with the plot of “The Originals,” Plec revealed that it will “a tiny tiny bit.”

The series finale of “The Vampire Diaries” will air on March 10 on the CW in the US. It will also air in Australia on Fox8.
