"The Vampire Diaries" will be bringing back the Miss Mystic Falls pageant before the series ends for good. This, however, will mean that a lot of them will see each other once again, which might not be a very pleasant happening.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Vampire Diaries” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.

In this episode of “The Vampire Diaries,” everyone will be heading back to Mystic Falls as the show revives the Miss Mystic Falls pageant. This, however, will bring up a lot of painful memories. As for Damon (Ian Somerhalder), he will be taunted by Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) with memories of his lost love Elena (Nina Dobrev). Later on, he will seek some help from Caroline (Candice King) for his brother’s unstoppable rampage.

The trailer teases Stefan (Paul Wesley) going on a murderous fit as he feeds souls to Cade (Wole Parks). Damon, on the other hand, appears stern as he asks for help. Later on, Sybil shows up at the ball, where she teases Damon by appearing like Elena. [Watch trailer below]

Spoiler TV writes that Damon and Stefan will be returning to Mystic Falls on Sybil’s orders as she continues her search for the historical artefact. Meanwhile, Bonnie (Kat Graham) will come back from Paris while wearing a vile of Enzo’s (Michael Malarkey) blood, which makes Caroline wonder if she could become a vampire. Damon, Stefan, Enzo, Caroline and Bonnie will all be present at the pageant ,where Sybil will continue to taunt Damon with memories of Elena.

Bonnie will be back and for some reason, she is now wearing a vile of Enzo’s blood on her neck. This could mean that the trip to Paris was just so romantic that Bonnie is now considering becoming a vampire so that she could spend and eternity with Enzo. This, however, would be entirely repugnant to how Bonnie’s character was developed all throughout “The Vampire Diaries.” This episode was directed by Geoff Shots and written by Penny Cox and Neil Reynolds.

The Vampire Diaries” will air on January 20 on The CW in the US. In Australia, it will air on FOX8.
