The episode synopsis for the upcoming episode entitled “Today Will Be Different” reveals that upon learning that somebody from Stefan Salvatore’s (Paul Wesley) past may be the next target of Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo St. John (Michael Malarkey), Bonnie Bennet (Kat Grahan), Stefan and Caroline Forbes (Candice King) begin heading to North Carolina. Upon arriving, Bonnie will take drastic means in her attempt to free Enzo of whatever has a hold of him. At the Armory, Georgie (Allison Scagliotti) and Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) come across a mysterious sign that could be related to the supernatural force controlling Enzo and Damon.

Sarah Salvatore is shown in the spoiler photos and reports say that she could be the person that Enzo and Damon are chasing. While Sarah is generally one of the good guys, she could have done something wrong if Enzo and Damon are after her.

Sybil’s powers are about to be unveiled for this episode. The final season of this show began with a pool of blood from which the season’s main villain Sybil emerged from. Sybil is believed to be behind the mysterious deaths that have been happening in Mystic Falls. Those whom she catches could either die immediately or end up becoming a minion of hers. Luck does not appear to be on Stefan’s side and the rest of the good guys since two of Sybil’s minions are Damon and Enzo who she can control.

“The Vampire Diaries” airs every Friday at 8 p.m. on the CW Channel. Season 8 Episode 2 will air October 28, 2016.
