The CW Network has released on Thursday, Oct. 23, a promo video for the next episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. In episode 5 titled "The World Has Turned and Left Me Here," the teaser trailer revealed that the Whitmore Homecoming Corn Maze will be a night of blood and terror for the Mystic Falls gang.

The promo video begins with Alaric (Matt Davis) asking his occult studies class if they know the supernatural origins of the homecoming party. The next scene shows a girl running at the corn maze with a bloody white dress and torch before she bumps into another girl and they both scream.

"Every dead sorority girl tonight is officially on you," Caroline (Candice Accola) declares while talking to someone on the phone with a scene showing newbie vampire Ivy (Emily Chang) attacking someone.

Then, the next scene shows Elena (Nina Dobrev) on the phone declaring that there are injured people everywhere. The synopsis for the upcoming episode teased that Alaric and Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) will be at the event saving lives.

The promo clip ends with Ivy inviting Caroline to go out on a party with her and also teach her how to eat someone without killing them before taking a sip from the blood bag. The look on Caroline's face obviously reads the newbie vampire will be a huge problem to deal with, all thanks to Enzo (Michael Malarkey) who turned her. Watch the trailer below.

The episode's synopsis in a Comic Book Movie report further teases what the other TVD characters will be up to in the corn maze and back in 1994. According to the synopsis, trouble will continue to follow Tyler (Michael Trevino) where his werewolf curse is put to the test again.

Elena asks Liam (Marco James) to go to the Homecoming Corn Maze party with her. As for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham), who are stuck in 1994 with a psychopathic powerless witch Kai (Chris Wood), will be making an important discovery in the next episode that will affect their journey of going back home.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 5 titled "The World Has Turned and Left Me Here" is scheduled to air on Thursday night, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
