The latest spoiler reports on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 teased some interesting details on what will happen to some characters of the CW TV series. It includes a major death, an arrival of a new character, the "Steroline" relationship and Jeremy Gilbert's (Steven R. McQueen) future.

According to a TV Line report, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) will be spending more time together in the upcoming episodes. The Salvatore vampire will be helping his best friend, who is invested in finding a cure for Sheriff Forbes' (Marguerite MacIntyre) illness.

"What we'll come to see is that their relationship will be shaped by [her mom's illness]," TVD executive producer Caroline Dries teased. The heartbreaking news on Sheriff Forbes' health condition had some fans come to terms that they might say goodbye to the character if she does not get cured.

However, TV Line's Winter TV Spoilers 2015 teased that a "major character will kick the bucket" in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. A Carter Matt report noted down that Sheriff Forbes currently appears to be the character facing death but the fans should still be worried about the fate of the other characters in the show.

The other details teased in the spoiler report include the twin merge ceremony, the arrival of new "caustic" mystery lady character that "24" actress Annie Wersching will portray, Elena's (Nina Dobrev) plan of freeing herself from Kai (Chris Wood) and rekindling her romantic relationship with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) returning as a "badass" character.

"She's learning to put herself first," executive producer Julie Plec revealed. The TVD big boss further added that Bonnie's boyfriend, Jeremy Gilbert, will go through big changes as well in the second half of the latest season. "Jeremy needs to figure out what he wants out of life, and that journey will be kickstarted by the realization that he's in his own prison," Plec shared after teasing last December 2014 on her Twitter account @julieplec that the character will apply to an art school.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 returns on Thursday night, Jan. 22, at 8/7c on the CW Network with episode 11 titled "Woke Up With a Monster."
