Parading his new found love, Ian Somerhalder has never been happier with his life as he found a special girl that gives him love and support. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, recently premiered her new movie "Let's Be Cops" where almost the entire cast of TVD was there to support her, except the actor who is noticeably absent during the red carpet event.

"Life is good," revealed Somerhalder in an interview with E! News at the 2014 Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday, Aug. 16. "There's a lot of support and love from a lot of people. I couldn't be happier if I tried."

Things are definitely heating up between the actor and Nikki Reed who was photographed many times during their trip at the farmers market. Onlookers on the recent San Diego Comic Con even spotted the two stars kissing and holding hands inside the event's weekend party and told the Web site that they are clearly smitten with each other.

One of the nine celebrity correspondents of the Showtime series, "Years of Living Dangerously," Ian has scored a major win at the recent awards with his documentary series. Nominated for Outstanding Documentary or Non Fiction Series and Outstanding Writing for Nonfiction Programming, the show managed to take home the top award along with PBS's "American Masters."

A groundbreaking event documentary, the new series bravely explores the human impact of climate change with Hollywood's blockbuster storytelling styles with the reporting expertise of celebrities who were part of the project, including Olivia Munn, Jessica Alba and Harrison Ford.

Together with today's most respected journalists, the miniseries was named as the first honoree at the 2014 Environmental Media Awards. It aims to heighten awareness of environmental concerns and focuses on how climate change affects Americans which is divided into a nine-part series that premiered on Showtime in April 2014.

While celebrating his victory with the "Twilight" alum, "Vampire Diaries" co-star Nina Dobrev was all smiles as she posed with the TVD cast during "Let's Be Cops" premiere. The 35-year-old actor's no-show on Dobrev's premiere fuelled a lot of rumours that the former lovers are not in good terms but still no news why Ian missed the red carpet premiere.
