More than a week after Team Pangu deployed its iOS 8 jailbreak, the Chinese developers have mostly plugged the holes that came with the iPhone and iPad unlocking tool.

The new Pangu jailbreak, according to 9to5Mac, is more stable and usable thanks to the cooperation by extended by Cydia creator @saurik. Last week, the dev group released its creation but the initial form was at best developer-friendly and most jailbreak fans would encounter issues installing and using it.

The situation will radically change this week as improvements come marching in and below are the things to expect from the fresh bump up:

Cydia now bundled with Pangu JB

While Cydia became accessible to jailbreakers shortly after the iOS 8 jailbreak was made available, manual installation of the jailbreak tweaks repository is required before its benefits can be experienced and enjoyed.

But with the new jailbreak version, Saurik's Cydia has become integral with the software. In a Twitter post, Team Pangu announced that Cydia 1.1.14 is now an easy install within the jailbreak application.

"If you already jailbreak by Pangu 1.0, you could install Cydia 1.1.14 via Pangu app. It shall work well on iOS 8.1. Appreciate @saurik hard work," the dev team was reported by iDigitalTimes as saying.

Support for English language

Pangu also added English to the system language supported by the iOS 8 jailbreak, said 9to5Mac on its report, pointing to another tweet posted by the Chinese hackers.

"Also we plan to release Pangu 1.1 in 24 hours with Cydia bundled and English support if everything goes well today," the group said.

Note too that the Pangu jailbreak remains exclusive to Windows-powered PC users and it remains unclear when or Mac will ever be supported.

No more freezing issue

In the first Pangu8 jailbreak, reports of bootloops came out but the problem has been resolved with the new update. Use of passcode has been identified as the cause of the device freezing so users were advised last week to temporarily disable the iOS feature.

With the new version though, iPhone and iPad owners are encourage to re-activate their passcode services for bolstered security.

Touch ID is usable too

Like passcode, Touch ID has caused issues when used with the Pangu8 jailbreak. That problem is gone now as the feature is now fully compatible with the iOS 8 jailbreak.

Full control

Lastly, with the jailbreak installed iPhone and iPad owners can override the restrictions that came with the devices out of the box. That would mean full control of the gadgets is handed back to them but not without compromises or risks.

One of them is the loss of warranty that Apple offers.

Pangu claims that version 1.0 of its jailbreak tool, fully bundled with Cydia 1.1.14, works with the iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 and all iDevices that run on iOS 8.
