Owners of rooted HTC One can now use the latest custom ROM firmware with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean called Orio. This custom ROM firmware fixes all the bugs and issues related to the camera, plus slight changes to the HTC Sense 5.0 UI, making it more fluid than ever.

Here are the requirements for flashing Orio to HTC One

  • Create a backup of all personal information and data files on your HTC One. Do not use HTC Sync to do this since Orio is a custom ROM.
  • Enable USB debugging mode on your device. Go to "Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging."
  • Battery level should be at least 40 per cent to prevent any power interruption.
  • Deactivate any antivirus installed on your computer and on your device.
  • HTC One must be rooted. To root your device, click here.
  • Download the Orio One Genuine.

Warning: This is a custom ROM and developers will not be held liable for any damages may occur on your device. Follow the instructions carefully to avoid any problems. Do this at your own risk.

How to Install Orio ROM

1. Connect your HTC One to the computer using a USB cable and copy the downloaded ROM zip file on the device.

2. Switch off the device.

3. Reboot into Recovery mode. Press Volume up + OK + Power key and if the phone boots to normal mode, try again. Inside the bootloader mode, select "recovery" to enter Recovery mode.

4. Select "install zip from SD card" and choose the firmware zip file you have copied inside the device. Confirm to install the firmware. Wait for at least 5 minutes till the installation is completed.

6. The device may take time to reboot, so be patient for its first run.

7. Once the boot is complete, go to "Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version" and see the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Orio ROM firmware.
