UPDATE: Lake Wife who Threw Temper Tantrum on Viral Video Tells Her Side of the Story

“Lake wife” has spoken up! Whitney Mongiat, who unwittingly starred in the secret footage her husband Jim posted online, has shared her side of the story after the video went viral.

Jim Mongiat posted the video on YouTube to show the world what he put up with living with his wife. According to him, Whitney, 30, threw a tantrum when he refused to take her to the nearby lake on a Saturday.

When a commenter asked if he had promised Whitney that he would take her to the lake that day, he replied that he didn’t promise anything.

“In fact, I had worked 60 hours that week and told her all week that Saturday was my day to get stuff done around the house. But as usual she threw a fit about it. She has broken doors off the jambs at our house. Needless to say, that was the last day I lived in our house. I have moved out and filed a restraining order against her.”

Speaking to Right This Minute, Whitney, a nurse, has shared her side of the story. And while she admitted that she did in fact go berserk when Jim refused to drive her to the lake, she was frustrated because he was “egging her on.”

She claims that Jim, a veteran who’s also employed, had been bullying her and teasing her, making the lake as an incentive. They went into a fast food place that day but they got into a fight later on, prompting him to say that they weren’t going to the lake anyone.

Apparently, he’s “holding the boat hostage,” and he also made excuses not to use the boat all the time.

Jim, on the other hand, claimed, “She wanted to go to the lake; I had a bunch of stuff to do that day. She knew about it. Well, she wasn’t going to have anything to do about it. And this is the reaction I got.”

When asked if he regrets posting the video online now that it has become viral, he said, “I don’t regret doing it at all,” adding that his friends and family are supportive of his decision.

He claimed, that was typical of Whitney’s behaviour when she didn’t get her way, while she insisted that Jim always bullied her.

To be fair to Jim’s future ex-wife, the video didn’t show anything before Whitney’s epic breakdown, and although the video was a little painful to watch, Jim can be heard even laughing at her for crying.

The couple from Tennessee were married just in May 2012. Whitney has already filed for divorce.
