Months after release, Konami’s “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” is still getting regular batches of updates to provide bug fixes as well as new features. An upcoming update for the game will be geared towards adding a list of new features to the online components of “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” ”Metal Gear Online” and FOB.

The update which rolls out sometime next month looks to be more than just fixes for the game. The contents of the update were first revealed on Japanese gaming blog Crazygamer.blog.jp, Dualshockers reports. New features include host migration, more match making options and an all-new character for “Metal Gear Online” and FOB.

The contents of the blog was translated by Reddit user hecheff. First off, players will now have an easier way to secure their bases in FOB with the new Free Placemens of Gun Cameras and Land Mines mode being introduced in the update. Players will also be able to use Raiden as a playable character. One of his skills include warping, and he will be using unique weapons. For now, it is unknown what conditions have to be met for players to use him.

Other FOB additions include a new feature called Challenge Tasks. Above it all, SKULLS units will also be appearing on platforms but conditions for this are still unknown.

There will also be new features added to the competitive multiplayer mode “Metal Gear Online.” First is a new Host Migration feature. With this, if the host of an ongoing game leaves, another player in the room will be selected as a replacement. All players except the former host will be getting EXP at the end of the match.

Aside from that, players will now be given more matchmaking options. It includes weather and walker availability when searching for matches.
