Netflix recently announced the release date for “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” season 3. A teaser video has also been released by the streaming giant, featuring Tituss Burgess’ character (Titus Andromedon) in a role only Beyoncé fans will relate to. Watch the video below.

In the first look video of the popular hit comedy, the actor Tituss Burgess appears in a ruffled lemon yellow dress donning the Beyoncé role in a "Lemonade"-inspired scene. The same has been done probably with the intent to get fans in the mood. Burgess’ character could be seen singing his own version of the song “Hold Up” in the video, while he’s smashing Mikey’s car window armed with a baseball bat.

"Hello, I ain't playing with you, Michael / I'm not fooling with you, Michael / Pack up, I ain't playing with you, meatball / Michael, I'm not playing with you, meatball…" Burgess’ song goes on, per Entertainment Weekly. The clip focuses mainly on Burgess — Ellie Kemper (Kimmy Schmidt) flashed only for a moment at the end.

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” season 3 should have arrived earlier than the announced release date, but the shooting got delayed due to Kemper’s pregnancy last year. Nevertheless, the series is back, which is great news. It is slated to hit the screens on May 1.

According to Tech Times, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” was originally scheduled for an NBC release. Apparently, things didn’t work out as planned, and the show eventually went on air on Netflix. It has also been reported that there will be more scenes per episode, as the length was increased starting with season 2.

"NBC is 21 minutes and 15 seconds after you take out the commercials," show creator Tina Fey explained at the Tribeca Film Festival last year, per Deadline. "On Netflix, they really want you to make the episodes as long as possible for the amount of time you have," Fey added. It is also said that all 13 episodes of the “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” season 3 will be available for viewing right after the show’s debut on May 19 this year.

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” is an American web television sitcom with actor Elli Kemper in the title role. The show has been created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, and it was first aired on Netflix on March 6, 2015.

The show returns for a third season on May 19. Meanwhile, the first two seasons are available for online streaming exclusively on Netflix. The streaming media company has yet to announce an Australia release date for the show’s third season.
