“Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers” will be the first Street Fighter franchise released after nearly ten years of absence. It offers new features and new characters.

The upcoming Nintendo Switch game offers the most iconic fighting scene of the past. Players are said that they can choose to play with pixel-art graphics. This will provide an overall feel of the classic game. On the other hand, the game also has a modern look with better graphics. As with the previous version of the “Street Fighter” franchise, a maximum of two players can play against each other in a battle. Players can also team up with a friend to go against the CPU in one of the co-op modes the game will feature.

Online, new characters and more

“Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers” offers another mode wherein players can go online and battle in Ranked or Casual matches. Another mode has been added to the upcoming game as players can utilise motion controls of the Joy-Con. This mode is called the Way of the Hado. It offers a single-player experience in attempt to defeat the Shadaloo army. Players will be making use of two signature moves, the Hadoken and Shoryuken.

In addition to new modes, there will also be two new characters introduced. According to the game’s official description, Evil Ryu and Violent Ken will be added in the roster. These two will add to the original characters and bosses in the “Super Street Fighter II” game.

Since the game will be available for the Nintendo Switch, it can be played through the TV, Tabletop and Handheld modes. This allows those who purchase the game to play in the comfort of their own home or on the go. In addition to playing the game, those who buy this game will also be able to read more than 250 pages of the digital art book of the “Street Fighter” franchise. It offers over 1,500 illustrations of the game’s 30-year history.

This is, however, a placeholder price. It means that those who purchase the pre-order price of $99.95 will get their hands on the game first.
