UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey believes his match with Holly Holm on Nov. 14 (Nov. 15 AEDT) in Melbourne at Etihad Stadium would last longer than his previous fights.

Rousey (12-0), who has become UFC’s biggest draw due to her dominance in the women’s division, will defend her title for the third time this year against an unlikely challenger in Holm at UFC 193 Melbourne. Rousey believes the fight with Holm would be a lot different than her last three fights, which only lasted for a combined total of 64 seconds.

"This will definitely be longer than that," Rousey told ESPN. "Holly is the kind of fighter that likes to play on the outside and counts on opponents to rush in so she can counter and take advantage, and I'm not that person."

Rousey’s last three fights against Bethe Correia, Cat Zingano, and Alexis Davis only lasted for a blink of an eye, and these type of results made her the star she is now. The swiftest match she had was against Zingano at UFC 184, which only took her 14 seconds to claim the victory.

Rousey’s bread and butter in her success at the UFC has always been her judo skills and signature arm-bar move. But according to her coach Edward Tarverdyan, the undefeated champ is planning to use the matchup against Holly to develop her boxing skills.

Rousey is the fan favourite to win the main event at UFC 193 with a -2000 on oddsmakers, making Holm (+1000) the obvious underdog in Melbourne. However, Holm (9-0) said she does not mind being the underdog in their fight and believes she is the first one to defeat the most dangerous woman in the planet.

Meanwhile, UFC 193 will also feature Kiwi fighter Mark Hunt going against Antonio Silva in the co-main event heavyweight card. Hunt, who has suffered defeat in his last two fights, is looking to bounce back from a crushing loss against Stipe Miocic at UFC Fight Night in May.

“The Miocic fight doesn’t sit well with me – it still doesn’t,” Hunt told MMA Junkie. “That’s why I’m here ready.”

Hunt and Silva’s first fight in 2013 concluded to a draw, but was considered a fight of the year caliber with both fighters slugging it out.
